Ordering shutters online feels risky for one reason: you're spending real money on something you've measured yourself, sight unseen. This guide removes the guesswork. Every number below — all 44 stocked sizes, every box dimension, every weight — comes straight from the manufacturer's catalog, not a marketing sheet. Three steps: measure, match, order.
Step 1: Measure your windows
Grab a steel tape measure — not a cloth one, not your phone. Measure the window opening itself, not the trim around it. Take three width measurements (top, middle, bottom) and three height measurements (left, middle, right); you'll match your size against the smallest of each. And check your depth: an inside mount needs at least 1-3/4 inches of clear frame depth for the 3-inch Z-frame to sit in.

Step 2: Match your size from the 44 stocked sizes
These are factory-built standard sizes — not custom-manufactured to your opening. Each RS size covers a range of widths and heights (for example, RS-15X3 fits any opening 15–19 inches wide and 33–37 inches tall). Find the size whose width range and height range both contain your measurements. That's your size — no interpolation, no rounding up to the nearest custom build.

Step 3: Know what's in the box before it arrives
Each order ships the shutter panel (or panels) plus the 3-inch flat Z-frame, with factory-fitted white hinges and recessed magnets. Smaller sizes arrive in a single box; the bigger sizes split into a panel box and a separate long, narrow frame box; the three largest sizes (RS-8X3, RS-8X4, RS-8X5) ship two panel boxes plus the frame box. Box weights run from about 14 lbs up to 63 lbs for the biggest panel box — plan a clear spot by the door and, for the big ones, a second pair of hands.
